Stone Roses for Leeds Festival 2012?

New rumours suggest that The Stone Roses could make an appearance at Leeds Festival 2012.

Chief organiser Melvin Benn admitted, “It wasn’t even something they considered or we considered (in 2011), but of course we’d consider having them back in the future.”

The legendary Mancunian band, fronted by Ian Brown fully reformed this year and have been rumoured for a number of festivals next summer.

Vodafone VIP customers are now able to buy tickets for Leeds Festival 2012.

The exclusive access allows anyone signed up, to purchase the tickets 48hrs before they go on sale to the general public.

Have the Leeds Festival 2012 headline acts been confirmed?

Rumours have been around for only a few weeks, but a new article from Gig Wise suggests that Greenday, the Foo Fighters and The Prodigy will take the top slots at this years bash.

They revealed today that “an exclusive source” passed on the news.

The Foo Fighters have been a strong rumour for the festival since they announced they would be back in the UK next summer, Greenday are rumoured most years but nothing has been revealed about The Prodigy so far apart from this.

Official organisers have confirmed that a pre-sale of Leeds Festival 2012 tickets will go on sale on Friday December 2nd 2011.

Foo Fighters Strongly Linked to Leeds Festival 2012

The Foo Fighters are strongly linked with a performance at Leeds Festival 2012.

The fan favorites announced that they would be paying a visit to the UK next summer:

”We may play Reading (which hopefully means Leeds too!) in the summer next year, if we get through all of this run OK. Festivals are where we cut our teeth and became a good band,” announced drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Radiohead, Bloc Party, RHCP and many more acts are also rumoured to make an appearance. We’ll keep you updated on any new bands that also get added to list.

Tickets for the event are currently not on sale, but we expect there to be a release before Christmas.

Organisers promise ‘terrific’ acts for Leeds Festival 2012

According to Leeds Festival 2012 organisers, the events headliners will be ‘terrific’ this time round.

Speaking with NME, Melvin Benn told the magazine that he was very excited about the line up for next summer’s bash, and that he has already to book some impressive acts.

Rumours currently suggest that Bloc Party, Greenday, Radiohead and even Blink 182 could appear at this years event.

No acts have yet been officially confirmed.

Bloc Party Rumoured for Leeds Festival 2012

Bloc Party have been a hot name in the press this month, with rumours that they are working on a brand new album.

As a favorite of Leeds Festival, we think they’re a strong contender for a space on the line-up, most likely the main stage.

Whether or not Kele will be performing with the band…well that’s a different matter, for a different day.
