Arctic Monkeys Rumoured for Leeds Festival 2012

The Sheffield Pop Rock band, Arctic Monkeys could be making a return to Leeds Festival this year according to sources.

The band have become a favorite with the fans after their dramatic climb to stardom following several memorable performances at the Leeds Festival weekend.

They are currently touring extensively and with no Glastonbury this year, Leeds Festival looks wide open for them to take a main stage appearance.

We’d love to hear your opinions on this one! Do you think the rumours could be true?

Cant see it myself. They did it too recently (2009), and if anything the lack of glasto makes them less likely as theres more competition for Leeds headline spots. IMO Foos seem pretty guaranteed, I have a good feeling about the Killers and then Id love the last spot to be Daft Punk, which I could see but maybe Green Day seem more likely. Bloc Party and Kasabian are also decent shouts for headliners, but if you ask me they should really be main support. Neither quite big enough to headline.

    • Foo Fighters really strong rumour. Bloc party will almost certainly be there as well

      Cheers for the comment

Would be awesome if they did, quality band but carnt see it happening myself, read somewhere they was taking the year out in 2012? Maybe them getting a headline slot at Glastonbury in 2013 after the festival takes a year out this year?

    • Only thing I read was that they wanted to headline Glasto in 2013 but didn't read anything about it being a comeback from a break
