Organisers have confirmed that Arctic Monkeys will take one of the headline slots at Leeds Festival 2014.
Member Matt Helders told NME, “We’ve got a lot of history with the festival. It’s the first festival I ever went to – we all went together as kids, with Nick as well. We were 15 or 16 and it was a big deal going to a festival like that on your own.”
The band have also confirmed that they will open the Brit Awards later this month despite previously boycotting the event.
The Sheffield based rockers were announced alongside a collection of other acts including The 1975, Courteeners, You Me At Six, SBTRKT, Warpaint, Netsky, Annie Mac, Architects, Issues and Pusha B.
