The Coral Could Play Leeds Festival
The Liverpool based band, The Coral have been rumoured a slot at this years Leeds Festival weekend. Interestingly this is the second Liverpool based band that have been rumoured this week, the other act being The Wombats.

Dream Lineup For Leeds Festival?

All American Headliners
Festival Republic’s Melvin Benn has announced that he is not at liberty to discuss who the headlining acts actually are, but that they will “All be American guitar bands.” From the information we have been gathering it is looking likely that the three headline slots will go to these bands. Killers Headline Rumour
As if the headline situation couldn’t get any more confusing! There is now news that The Killers could be taking one of the headline slots at Leeds Festival 2008. The American band all the way from Las Vegas formed in 2002 and had much success with their debut album “Hot Fuss.”
Oxford Dance band “The Foals” rumoured for Leeds
The Foals are rumoured for this years Leeds Festival. The stage however has not been specified. The band, that are signed on the Transgressive Records label play a mixture of dance and indie. Their first album named “Antidotes” is expected to go on sale in March.
Cut Off Your Hands Rumoured For Leeds Festival 2008
The band “Cut Off Your Hands” have been rumoured for Leeds Festival 2008 by efestivals.co.uk. The band originates from New Zealand and they have enjoyed a lot of success recently, releasing an EP in New Zealand called “Shakey hands.” Apparently the title is inspired by a previous name that the band went under, but had to change due to legal reasons.
British Sea Power Self Confirm
British Sea Power have self confirmed themselves a slot at this years Leeds Festival. Apparently the band announced at a gig, that they would be playing Leeds Reading and Glastonbury.
The Verve and Metallica in Headline battle
It is possible that the metal band, Metallica could be playing one of the headline slots. The rumours assume that they will play instead of The Verve demoting them to one of the smaller headline slots. This will make the main headliners Metallica, Rage Against the Machine and Kasabian.
Oasis Rumoured for Leeds Festival 2008
The Manchester Based band Oasis, have been rumoured to play at Leeds Festival this year. I don’t know how likely this is with such big names being suggested for the headline slots. I can’t imagine them NOT playing a headline slot either. I’ll keep you posted on this one.
