Kasabian Rumoured for Leeds Festival 2008

The band Kasabian are likely to make an appearance at Leeds Festival this year, according to many sources of information.

Leeds Festival has lost its number one beer sponsor, Carling this week. The festival will now revert back to its original name of “Leeds Festival.” The so called “mutual agreement” ended a nine year collaboration between the two companies.
Baby shambles rumoured to headline Leeds Festival 2008
There is a rumour that Baby shambles could headline Leeds Festival 2008. I did a bit of background research on the official website, and there is no hint at playing at the festival yet. I didn’t think there would be :). They are however bringing out a new single this week, and I assume a new album either soon or next year, so I guess it is a possibility. To me though, they just don’t seem the sort of band that could headline a festival.
Radiohead could play at Leeds Festival 2008?
This is merely just a suggestion of mine, but i think it could be a possibility. Radiohead have just released their new album, and as they have gone independent and left their record label, I’m sure they will want as much exposure as possible. If they don’t get a Glastonbury slot, I think its almost certain that they will be included in the Leeds Festival line-up.
