Could Guns ‘n’ Roses Play Leeds Festival 2009?

November 12, 2008, Line-up |   |

guns n roses rumoured for leeds festivalAlthough AC/DC are already rumoured for the Leeds Festival Weekend, many have forgotten about a little known American rock band called Guns ‘n’ Roses.

The band finally has a new album coming out after something stupid like 14 years in the making, so what better place to promote it than Leeds?

The reasons we have for the band not playing the festival are as follows.

1. AC/DC already seem likely and with Guns ‘n’ Roses also playing it might be a little too much rock.

2. Download would seem like a more obvious choice for them.

Reasons for the band playing are as follows:

1.Long awaited new album finally finished and will be released in time for summer. (Nov 22nd 2008 is the release date.)

2. Leeds looks to be expanding and getting bigger acts every year.

We’re not saying its a dead cert, but the band could make an appearance. Guns ‘n’ Roses can go down as a ‘weak rumour.’

what do you guys think?

Would be awsome if they played as well as AC/DC. In my opinion the more rock the better :D but thats just my opinion i know alot of people would disagree.

Yeah I think a lot of leeds goers would disagree with that statement, everyone is allowed their opinion though! I personally don’t think both AC/DC and Guns n Roses will play but we shall see!

well lets just (for now) accept that ACDC look the more likely and also remember tht guns n roses playing there would be amazing….. but guns n roses are done and have been for a long time, the axl rose experience is what remains and doesnt have the same heart unfortunatley. if they performed it would be good but without the originals “GNR” is not GNR

“the axl rose experience is what remains” lol that made me laugh a lot.

yeah you have a good point there, I really can’t see both them and AC/DC playing but i think even if they did it would be an awesome show!

AC/DC and G’N'R my heart is racing, shame it’s not the original line up, its only Axl and Co. now. Get Velvet Revolver as well, that would be interesting lol
