BBC To Cover Leeds Festival Extensively
The BBC have announced that they will be covering Leeds Festival 2008 extensively.
You can check out highlights and performances on your TV by going to BBC three. You can also go interactive if you are a digital user. “Press the RED button on your digital TV from 1900 each night to access exclusive interviews, information and performances.”
Alternatively, Steve Lamacq and Jo Wiley will be doing special Leeds Festival shows from the 18th to the 22nd of August.
The BBC website also states that “If you can access the internet on your mobile phone or another wireless device you can get the mobile edition of bbc.co.uk/readingandleeds.”

Of course by extensive Leeds coverage, the BBC mean extensive Reading coverage, they couldn’t give a shizzle about us up North!

naa, i reckon they will be on the ball with both this year. They seem to have made more of an effort than ever with the website anyway.
Cheers for the comment

BBC should cover more of Leeds rather than just Reading like every year its not right.. make an effort and get up north!

to be honest i don’t know why they cover both at all, it can’t be practical money wise and the bands pretty much play the same set.

What an absolute JOKE!!!
The BBC will never “extensivley” cover Leeds. There is a WAY better atmopsphere at Leeds than reading, i’ve been to both, and yet somehow Leeds is always forgotten. They say that they are covering Reading/Leeds when you press the red button, but it’s ACCTUALLY just reading.
GET A GRIP BBC, STAY TRUE TO YOUR WORD AND GIVE US EXTENSIVE COVERAGE OF LEEDS, I WANT TO RE-CAPTURE MY FESTIVAL!
BBC = Commercial bullsh*t

Well this was complete boll*cks! I emailed the BBC after Leeds Fest this year because there was not a single bean of coverage that i could find on TV or on their website.
Set of wank*rs.
