New Leeds Festival Lockers Priced high!
Leeds Festival have teamed up with Lockerhouse this year to provide festival goes a place to keep valuables.
A great idea that may have been ruined by the incredible cost of £15 for the weekend?
The lockers themselves measure 25cm wide x 15.5cm deep x 10cm high and (something which I think is very useful) they include a mobile phone charging facility. This requires a 12v Car adapter.
However at this size they will only useful for things like camera’s, wallets, keys and phones nothing big or bulky.
If you think you would like to get a locker then you must purchase a ticket.
My advice would be to try and take as little valuable items as possible, keeping the essentials with you at all times. I think £15 is rather expensive considering the price of tickets.

oh i reckon if you used one it would be pretty safe. I just think its a little expensive. You hand your ticket in quite quickly so thats ok!
the phone charging facility is a damn good idea. I charged mine at nokia last yeah and the battery lasted about 2hrs… annoying as i queued for about 50mins

I queued for the duration of Paramore and Dead 60s combined and only got 1 bar of battery. Was so frustrated!

If you are bothered about the phone charging why not buy a portable charger. My mate bought one last year, it had all sorts of adapters and only cost 5 quid (at the begining of the festival) but by the end they had supprisingly gone up to 10 quid! (they must have seen all you in the nokia queue)

yeah yeah, my mate got one of those and said it worked well. I think someone should invent a solar powered one
I forgot to put about that in the post though, thanks for the tip!

I think u can get phone batteries cheap on ebay. If u charge one up in ur phone before u go and keep it in ur wallet or sumthing then ull hava spare? Probs cheaper than buying a locker and more handy. I know that’s what I’ll probs be doing, dno if I could be bothered with the faff of going back and forward to a locker.
-Also I wud agree with Girlscout, if I lost the key when my locker had everything in it would be gutted! I doubt they’d be allowed to open a locker as you couldn’t prove its urs until the end of the festival probs.

Saz, thats a really cool idea! i like it
there must be some form of password or something so that you can get a spare, but no doubt you will be charged

Lol I bet they would charge you. Dunno how much tho :S either that or ud have t owait until the festy was over and get it back afterwards or sumthing :S Lol imagine if there was a riot and people took over the locker area :S lol id be rather worried about my possesions. Although I guess they would have security watching the locker area? x

i reckon it will probably be cctv’d etc. I don’t think it will be somewhere people can just walk around. Possibly in a tent?

hmm, yea ur prbs right. Lol that didnt stop people nicking hundreds of pounds worth or lager/beer couple yrs ago in the riot that was crazy :s lol. I’m sua they wud of already of thought of tht sortv stuf tho so ges theyd b pretty safe.

I got a charger for £10 which included 4 AA batteries and the adapter to fit my Sony Erikson K750i. They had adapters for all phones. It has been fantastic. I’ve used it all year and will bring it to the Festival again this year. I’ve only put one more set of batteries in this year but my mate took his batteries back to Duracell tent at the festival and they were offfering new for old battery exchange. The stall was opposite the Nokia charging tent and they sold torches and glosticks as well.

yeah a few of my mates bought them as well! I reckon you could probably get one off ebay before the festival for a lot cheaper. I still think my idea of making a wind up one is genious!
thanks for the comment and the infomation
