Huge Increase On Leeds Festival Ticket Price?
News is coming in thick and fast now!
We have now been lead to believe that weekend tickets are going to cost a staggering £185 this year.
One of our switched on readers Nell, stumbled upon this today and (Thanks very much!) decided to share the news with us.
When looking under the news section of the official Leeds festival site, under “Green Messangers at Reading & Leeds” he/she found this piece of text.
You will need to pay a deposit by cheque of £185 (full ticket price) which will then be reimbursed once you have completed your shifts.
It looks like thats the case, and if it is, I think thats absolutely ludicrous!
What are your thoughts on this huge increase, and does anyone have any more information? Thanks!

omg what have you done!
Apparently if you are working the deposit is always larger than the actual ticket price to stop people just fucking off after they get there!
At least this might get a few readers lol!

If you looked closely you’d see there is a heading saying they are £155!! And heres the kicker…. if you’d had looked slightly closer you would find that the supposed £185 price section was all about working in the leeds festival fields!! MORON!!

Hmmm.. I already have my leeds ticket. Bought it int he pre-sale after last yrs festy. But any one know when the line upse going to be announced? On the official leeds site (on the main page) it says tickets are on sale at 7PM and if previous years are anything to go by, the line up wud likely be at 6.50pm. However as stated before on the forum, in the NEWS section of the official website, it says tickets are on sale at 6.45PM… :S so don’t know when the line up is announced. This year it seems to be a little vague don’t you think?
Also wondering if they’ve put 6.45PM in small print rather than on main page to try and relieve the pressure of ticket sales as some people may not see the ‘6.45pm’ bit and may assume they need to purchase at 7pm… just a theory! lol.
If any one has any ideas about the when abouts of the line up, let us know!
Saz x :o)

Hi Saz, i have no idea about that. I just assume that the lineup will be announced shortly before the tickets go on sale on both radio one and the official website.

Hang on, what about this festival manifesto thing?
“PRICE CAPPING
Lower ticket prices into line with the rest of Europe”
Jesus… Bad enough thinking it was going to be £160 ish but that is insane.
