The Coral Could Play Leeds Festival
The Liverpool based band, The Coral have been rumoured a slot at this years Leeds Festival weekend. Interestingly this is the second Liverpool based band that have been rumoured this week, the other act being The Wombats.
The last album that the Coral released was “Roots & Echoes” on August 6th 2007, a little old to be promoting at this years summer festivals. However, they do have a rich and diverse back catalog which I’m sure they could still use to please a big crowd. Songs such as “Dreaming of You” and “In the Morning” really are timeless.
And if you have never heard of The Coral before, well. They play a mixture of old fashioned country, 60’s psychedelica and Folk which has influenced many Liverpudlian acts such as the Dead 60’s and The Zutons. The seven band members met at school and used to frequently watch movies and listen to music together before deciding to form a band. The band now play as a 5-peice after the departure of Lead Guitarist, Bill Ryder-Jones. (I’m not exactly sure what happened to the other of the seven friends.)

Yeah that would make sense. I would love to see the Coral play. A lot of people that have seen them say that they are the best band they have seen live!
Thanks for the comment
