Killers Headline Rumour
As if the headline situation couldn’t get any more confusing! There is now news that The Killers could be taking one of the headline slots at Leeds Festival 2008. The American band all the way from Las Vegas formed in 2002 and had much success with their debut album “Hot Fuss.”
Now i’m not really sure what they will be coming over to promote if they do play Leeds. Their last album, Sam’s Town was released in 2006, over a year ago! Also, Their latest release “Sawdust” is just a collection of B-sides that they have recorded in the past. Anyway, I’m sure they would attact a large crowd if they did play!

Sorry my mistake. Its change now
As for them being too big? I don’t see how that works. Its surely just dependent on how much money Festival republic is willing to pay for them, and i’m sure they have enough!
thanks for the two comments!

How on earth are they too big? Are RHCP too big? Are Muse too big? are Foo’s too big?
If they do they’ll headline on Saturday in the newish bands slot.

Yeah that is true, Not to completely shoot you down here James, but i think the RHCP are bigger than the Killers and they played last year. Is there any chance to can add some more information and maybe tell us what you mean? Cheers!

Yeah, but without the carling sponsor they might not have enough money to pay for such big acts. unless they raise the ticket prices or something

James, yeah i see thats quite a good point, but i reckon they will have sorted something out. I’m expecting a phone company sponsor or some kind of energy drink!

I am on my knees praying that The Killers headline these festivals. Apparently the finished line up is being confirmed in March. Bring it on!!

I can’t see The Killers doing any gigs till next year. They working on they new album which they say might be out in October. I think it’s all rumour because they normally do Leeds/Reading every other year so I think people just think they will.
No band is too big to do a festival many perfer to play them and in fact lower their prices.

it seems pretty unlikely by the fact that they have no material. I’ll guess we’ll just have to see how it pans out!
