Carling out of Leeds Festival Weekend

Leeds Festival has lost its number one beer sponsor, Carling this week. The festival will now revert back to its original name of “Leeds Festival.” The so called “mutual agreement” ended a nine year collaboration between the two companies.

A new sponsor has not yet been announced but I am predicting something like, Vodaphone, O2 or Relentless.

I assume that this means there will no longer be an amnesty for changing warm beers for cold, but it could also mean that next year there will actually be a choice of beers to drink.

To be honest i have no idea. nothing has been announced on the official Leeds Festival website yet (leedsfestival.com). I just hope its something nicer, and not some other cheap European beer.

I hope JD take over. Imagine that, trade in a can of warm beer for a nice cold bottle of JD…

I think the chances of that would be a bit slim. Didn’t JD have a stand there in 2007 that was selling grilled meat and whiskey? If i remember correctly it was like a huge wooden western style thing by the big wheel.

thanks for the comment by the way!

i reckon it would be ace if it was something that was good for a hangover, like red bull or something. That way..there would be more than one beer to drink, and you could drink every day! :D
